I wanted to learn about adventure

For instance, 100 % of people surveyed said that adventure was imporant to them.

* N=30

The whopping 0%       willing to admit      they don't care

for advenutre

Conclusion: despite the statistical limitations of this poll, it's pretty safe to say that adventure is considered important.

What does adventure mean to you?

"Exploring new and exciting territory, physical & otherwise"

"Leaving a familiar place for an unfamiliar one without a preestablished goal"

"Some event where the outcome exceeds the capacity to plan."

"Committing yourself to the unknown, trusting yourself to adapt to the variables, overcome the obstacles, and come back home safely."

"Doing something you've never done before and embracing how fucking terrifying it will be."

"Working to accomplish a goal different than you ever have before"

"A chance to learn something through experience"

"Anything that gets the blood pumping"

So I polled my community

Would you go alone?

I'd go with somebody

Men

Women

I'd travel alone

Women

Men

I asked them what adventure looks like

I got some other responses, too

And on another note...

Independent travel is important to me for a lot of reasons....but as a woman I've come up against a lot of resistance to the idea that I (as a woman) should travel alone.  I split the poll results by gender identity to see what my respondents would choose for themselves.
